Equipment used in the
Studio
Neumann TLM 103 (1) This mic has won many awards since it first came out just a
few years ago. This is one of our favorite mics on vocals especially when we run
it through our favorite mic pre, the Manley Vox Box. You will not believe the rich full sounds
created when this mic is used on a Bass Cabinet.
AKG 414 TL-11 (2) We have a stereo matched pair. Our favorite for overhead drum
mics. Great for vocals and just an all around excellent studio
mic.
ATM-25 (2) The best sounding kick mic, this side of the Mississippi. This
mic can also be used on Bass Cabinets.
Neumann KM 184 (2) This mic is a favorite on acoustic guitars or any other
acoustic instrument. It is also great on hi hats and ride
symbols.
Shure Beta 57 (2) This mic is the newest version of the Shure 57. Great on
snare or guitar cabinets.
Sennheiser 421 (4) Another industry standard. My favorite on toms and guitar
cabinets.
Shure Beta 56 (1) Great on drums or guitar cabinets.
Shure SM-57 (2) Every studio has at least one of these, it is the workhorse
of the industry, in studios and live sound reinforcements, great for drums and
guitar cabinets.
AKG D112 (1) This is another industry standard used on kick drums and bass
cabinets.
CAD E-200 (1) This is a good all around mic used on vocals/wind instruments
or room mic.
Mic Pre (2) 8 channels each. Total of 16 channels. Precision 8 by True
Systems (see our
link), is the only Mic Pre distributed by Neumann. So you know it's got to be GREAT! And
talk about clear! This mic pre sounds better than mic pre's on boards costing
tens of thousands of dollars. Its like you are
there!
Manley Vox Box (1) This is an all tube all in one box. The only system in the
world that has the compressor before the mic pre. Variable tube settings will
give you anything from crystal clarity to warm and fuzzy. Opto Equalizer and
desser/limiter. This is by far one of the worlds best mic pre. (see our
link).
Other Mic Pre Ballari and Aphex 107 two channels of each. Assortment of other outboard gear from
DBX compressors to Lexicon reverbs, Digitech vocal processors, but since the
Paris
System has over
200 plug-in effects that sound unbelievably great, you would probably never want
anything else.
